How we met

Brian and Ally both started attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in the fall of 1996 but didn't meet until 2 years later.

As fate would have it, they were both placed in the farthest possible dorms from each other. Brian lived in the closest dorm to campus, on the first floor, in the first room, and Ally lived in the farthest dorm, in the farthest tower, on the highest floor.

Brian and Ally finally did meet on October 3, 1998 at Kristen Rowell's birthday party. They have been dating ever since and will have been together just about 6 years when we get married.

About Brian

Brian was born in San Jose where he lived until age 12. The Froelich’s then moved to Hollister where Brian attended middle and high school. At age 18, Brian decided to attend college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo majoring in City and Regional Planning. After graduation he followed Ally to the Bay Area where he currently works for the City of Belmont in the Planning Department.

Fun facts:
* I once hopped a freight train by my house in San Luis Obispo and rode it to Ally’s house across town.
* I told my friend Rich Marcus that I was going to marry Ally after our first date.
* I have never received a moving traffic violation or been “at fault” in an accident. I'm an A+ driver.
* I hold several standing Hollister High School football records

About Ally

Ally grew up in San Juan Capistrano, where she attended St. Margaret’s School from preschool through high school graduation. After graduating, she drove north to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she majored in Business.

After graduation, she drove north again to San Francisco. Ally works in pharmaceutical sales, and kindly prepared the following fun facts:
